Part B - General Terms and Conditions

1. Definitions and interpretation

In these Terms, unless the context requires otherwise:

(a) “Camera Champ” or “Promoter” means Camera Champ, ABN 69 133 919 152.

(b) “Competition” means Camera Champ Monthly Photo Contest #826.

(c) “Entrant” means an eligible individual who purchases a valid Entry. An individual remains one Entrant even if they use more than one email address, account, payment method or order.

(d) “Entry” or “Entry Option” means the one-time paid entry comprising the stated Photo Entry allowance. Complimentary products may also be included such as limited time Camera Champ Library access and Photography Tools access that are displayed on the relevant first prize option prize pages.

(e) “Photo Entry” means a photograph and all mandatory information finally submitted through the private entry page before the Submission Deadline.

(f) “Finalist” means a Photo Entry selected for publication in Camera Champ Collective.

(g) “Winner” means the verified eligible Entrant whose Photo Entry receives 1st, 2nd or 3rd Place.

(h) “Prize Supplier” means a retailer, distributor, manufacturer, carrier or service provider used to source, supply or deliver a prize in a Winner’s region.

(i) “Terms” means the Schedule in Part A and these General Terms and Conditions.

Headings are for convenience only. The singular includes the plural and vice versa. “Including” means including without limitation. A reference to a law includes amendments, replacements and subordinate instruments. If the Schedule and Part B are inconsistent, the Schedule prevails.

2. Acceptance of these Terms

Information on how to enter, entry options, judging, publication honours and prizes forms part of these Terms.

Before finally submitting a Photo Entry, the Entrant must confirm their acceptance of these Terms by selecting the required Terms and Conditions checkbox on the private entry page. A Photo Entry cannot be finally submitted unless this checkbox has been selected.

By selecting the checkbox and completing final submission, the Entrant confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to the version of these Terms presented to them at the time of submission. Camera Champ may record the applicable Terms version and the date and time of acceptance as part of the submission record.

The Competition is a game of skill. Winners and Finalists are selected solely by judging eligible photographs against the published criteria. Chance plays no part in the outcome.

If an Entrant does not agree to these Terms, they must not finally submit a Photo Entry.

3. Eligibility

Entry is open only to natural persons who are legal residents of an Eligible Location stated in the Schedule and who satisfy the minimum-age requirement when purchasing an Entry and when submitting each Photo Entry.

The Competition is void where prohibited. An Entrant is responsible for ensuring that entering, receiving a prize and allowing publication are lawful in their place of residence. Camera Champ may exclude a jurisdiction or refuse an entry where reasonably necessary to comply with law, trade sanctions, export controls or supplier restrictions.

The following people are not eligible to enter:

• Camera Champ’s owner, employees, contractors or people materially involved in administering or judging the Competition;
• employees of a Prize Supplier or agency materially involved with the Competition; and
• the immediate family or household members of any person described above.

For this clause, immediate family includes a spouse, de facto partner, parent, step-parent, child, step-child, sibling, step-sibling, grandparent or grandchild, whether or not living in the same household.

Entrants must enter in their own legal name and must provide accurate, current and complete information. Camera Champ may require reasonable evidence of age, identity and residency.

4. Competition period and entrant cap

The Competition operates during the dates and times in the Schedule. All deadlines are measured in AEST, regardless of the Entrant’s location or local time zone.

The Competition is limited to 1,500 unique eligible Entrants. A successfully paid Entry reserves one entrant spot, subject to later eligibility verification. Additional Entries purchased by the same Entrant do not use additional entrant spots.

Entry sales may close before the advertised closing date when the entrant cap is reached. If sales close early, Entrants who already hold a valid Entry may continue to submit their Photo Entries until the unchanged Submission Deadline.

A purchase alone does not complete a Photo Entry. Each photograph and its mandatory information must be finally submitted before the Submission Deadline. Unused photo allowances expire at that deadline and do not carry forward.

5. Entries, Camera Champ Library and Photography Tools access

The available Entry options are set out in the Schedule. The applicable one-time price and local currency are displayed on the selected prize page and confirmed at checkout.

Each Entry may include complimentary access to the Camera Champ Library of published content, which includes Camera Champ Magazine, Camera Champ Photography Guides and Camera Champ Collective. Library content may be added, updated, corrected or replaced from time to time, but Camera Champ will maintain access to a substantially comparable range of Library content during the applicable access period.

Each Entry may include complimentary access to Camera Champ Photography Tools. These tools may be added, updated, corrected or replaced from time to time, but Camera Champ will maintain access to a substantially comparable range of Photography Tools during the applicable access period.

Library access begins when the Entry order is confirmed and continues for the period listed for that Entry: 1 Photo Entry - 1 month; 3 Photo Entries - 1 month; 5 Photo Entries - 1 month; 8 Photo Entries - 1 month.

Library access is a one-time complimentary inclusion. It is not a subscription, does not automatically renew and does not create recurring charges. Access is personal, non-transferable and subject to Camera Champ’s website terms and reasonable security controls.

Photography Tools access begins when the Entry order is confirmed and continues for the period listed for that Entry: 1 Photo Entry - unlimited; 3 Photo Entries - unlimited; 5 Photo Entries - unlimited; 8 Photo Entries - unlimited.

Photography Tools access is a one-time complimentary inclusion. It is not a subscription, does not automatically renew and does not create recurring charges. Access is personal, non-transferable and subject to Camera Champ’s website terms and reasonable security controls.

One Entry Option may be purchased per order. An Entrant may purchase additional Entries in separate orders while entry sales remain open. Camera Champ may refuse or cancel orders reasonably suspected of fraud, automated purchasing, identity evasion or payment abuse.

6. How to enter

To enter, an eligible Entrant must complete all of the following steps during the relevant period:

(a) select the first-prize option they wish to compete for;

(b) purchase an Entry Option from that prize option’s page and complete payment;

(c) open the private entry link sent by email after checkout;

(d) upload no more photographs than the entry allowance;

(e) for each photograph, provide the camera and lens, phone or drone used, and a short story about the photograph;

(f) confirm the entry information and accept these Terms; and

(g) finally submit the Photo Entry before the Submission Deadline.

The written story and equipment information are mandatory administrative and publication details but are not judged and do not contribute to the score.

A Photo Entry is allocated to the first-prize option associated with its Entry order. The selected prize option cannot be exchanged or transferred after the order is completed.

The time of final submission is the time recorded by Camera Champ’s entry system, not the time an upload was started, saved as a draft or sent from an Entrant’s device.

7. Private entry link

After checkout, Camera Champ will send the Entrant a private link to the relevant entry page. The link is confidential and may be used for the Entrant’s submission without creating a separate competition login.

The Entrant must keep the private link secure and must not share it. Activity completed through the link may be treated as authorised by the Entrant unless Camera Champ was notified promptly that the link was lost, disclosed or compromised.

If the link is lost, the Entrant should check their inbox and spam folder and may request assistance through the Contact page using the order number and purchase email address. Camera Champ may verify identity before resending or replacing a link.

Before final submission, an Entrant may edit entry details and replace draft photographs. After final submission, a photograph and its submitted details cannot be changed, replaced or withdrawn from judging except where Camera Champ corrects an obvious administrative error or is required by law.

8. Photograph and submission requirements

Each Photo Entry must satisfy all of the following requirements:

• the Entrant personally captured the photograph using a camera, phone or drone;
• the photograph is the Entrant’s own original work;
• the submitted file is JPEG, JPG or PNG and no larger than 50MB;
• the image is submitted at the highest practical quality within the file limit and is suitable for judging and possible publication;
• the image must not contain a watermark, signature, logo, added text or decorative border;
• the photograph may have been taken at any time and may have been previously published or awarded, provided the Entrant continues to hold all rights necessary to enter it; and
• the photograph must comply with the open theme and all other requirements of these Terms.

Entrants are encouraged to present photographs in a way that is creative while remaining faithful to the scene or subject originally photographed. Normal photographic editing and adjustments are permitted, including cropping, exposure, colour, contrast, sharpening, noise reduction and similar adjustments.

Editing must not significantly alter or misrepresent the content or reality of the original photograph. For example, entrants must not replace a sky, add or remove buildings or other substantial objects, or otherwise materially change the scene that was photographed.

Artificial intelligence must not be used to create a submitted photograph or to generate new visual content within it.

The photograph must remain substantially the Entrant’s own photographic work and a truthful representation of what was originally captured.

9. Originality, permissions and lawful conduct

The Entrant represents and warrants that each Photo Entry is their own original photographic work and that they own the copyright or otherwise hold every right, licence, consent and permission needed to enter, judge, publish and promote the photograph under these Terms.

A photograph containing an identifiable person must have been taken lawfully and respectfully. The Entrant is responsible for obtaining any model release or consent reasonably required for judging, publication and promotion. If an identifiable child appears, the Entrant must have permission from the child’s parent or legal guardian where required.

The Entrant is responsible for compliance with location rules, property rights, privacy and publicity rights, drone and aviation laws, permits, environmental rules and any other law applying to the capture or use of the photograph.

Photography must not involve unlawful conduct, harassment of wildlife, avoidable distress to an animal, environmental damage, trespass or an unreasonable risk to any person. Camera Champ may request evidence of permissions, releases or permits.

10. Prohibited content and conduct

Camera Champ may reject or disqualify a Photo Entry that, in its reasonable opinion:

• is unlawful, fraudulent, misleading, plagiarised, created using artificial intelligence, materially altered in breach of clause 8, or not captured by the Entrant;
• infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, moral rights or another person’s rights;
• contains sexually explicit, pornographic, hateful, discriminatory, defamatory, threatening, cruel, gratuitously violent or otherwise seriously offensive content;
• depicts or encourages dangerous, illegal or unethical conduct;
• contains malware, corrupt data, hidden code or material intended to interfere with the entry platform;
• breaches a law, these Terms or a reasonable instruction issued for the Competition; or
• could reasonably damage the integrity, reputation, fairness or proper administration of the Competition.

An Entrant must not use bots, scripts, automated entry tools, false identities, multiple identities, coordinated manipulation, bribery, threats or any other method intended to obtain an unfair advantage or evade the entrant cap or entry rules.

11. Judging and winner selection

Eligible photographs will be judged after entries close against creativity, composition, visual storytelling and overall photographic impact. Expensive equipment, professional status and technical perfection are not requirements.

Judging is anonymous. Entrant identity, contact information, mandatory written story and equipment details are not displayed during scoring. The judging process is recorded for auditing and integrity purposes.

Judges may use one or more structured review stages, including an initial eligibility and keep/reject review, numerical ratings, comparative review and final deliberation. The scoring method may be adjusted consistently to manage the number and quality of eligible entries, provided the published judging criteria remain the basis of selection.

Judging will be conducted by the Camera Champ team, led by John Allman (former Royal Australian Air Force photographer and current Getty Images photographer). Camera Champ may appoint additional competent judges or judging assistants where appropriate.

If photographs are tied, the judges will conduct a further comparative assessment against the same criteria until a ranking is reached. No random draw, coin toss or other element of chance will be used to break a tie.

Judges’ decisions on photographic merit are final and cannot be appealed merely because an Entrant disagrees with the result. An Entrant may ask Camera Champ to review an alleged administrative error or failure to follow these Terms.

12. Finalists and overall placings

Up to 120 eligible photographs may be selected as published Finalists, including the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place photographs. Camera Champ may select fewer than 120 if the number or quality of eligible entries does not justify the maximum.

An Entrant may have multiple photographs selected as Finalists but may receive only one of the three overall placings. If more than one photograph from the same Entrant would otherwise place, only their highest-ranked photograph receives an overall placing and the next highest-rated eligible photograph from another Entrant advances.

Subject to eligibility verification and these Terms, the highest-ranked photograph receives 1st Place, the next highest-ranked qualifying photograph from a different Entrant receives 2nd Place, and the next receives 3rd Place.

Finalist status is an editorial and competition honour. Except for the benefits expressly stated in the Schedule, it does not carry a cash value, guarantee a particular page size or layout, or entitle a Finalist to a complimentary printed copy.

13. Winner contact, verification and claim period

Camera Champ will contact selected Winners by email and/or telephone using the details provided with the order or submission. Entrants are responsible for keeping those details accurate and monitoring their inbox, spam folder and voicemail.

A selected Winner must respond and provide all information reasonably requested by Camera Champ within 3 calendar days after the first winner notification. Camera Champ may extend this period in its discretion or where required by applicable law.

Verification may include evidence of legal name, age, residency and delivery address; the original or full-resolution image; original metadata, EXIF or RAW files where available; model or property releases; and a signed eligibility, copyright, publicity or prize-acceptance declaration.

Camera Champ will make reasonable attempts to contact a selected Winner. If a selected Winner cannot be contacted, fails to respond or provide satisfactory verification within the claim period, is ineligible, declines the award or breaches these Terms, the placing and any associated prize may be forfeited and offered to the next highest-rated eligible photograph from a different Entrant.

Camera Champ will never require a Winner to pay a claim fee, provide an account password or send money to receive a prize. A person unsure about a communication should use the official Contact page before providing information.

14. Prizes and publication honours

The prizes and publication honours are described in the Schedule and on the relevant prize pages.

The verified 1st Place Winner receives only the first-prize option linked to the winning Photo Entry, together with the publication and certificate benefits in the Schedule. Only one camera gear first prize is awarded in the Competition.

The verified 2nd and 3rd Place Winners receive certificates and featured publication only. They do not receive camera gear, cash, or another physical prize unless expressly added to the Schedule before the Competition opens.

Prizes are brand new unless expressly stated otherwise. Prize values are based on the manufacturer’s recommended retail price or the supplier’s listed price when published. Camera Champ is not responsible for later retail price changes, sales, discounts, exchange-rate movements or differences between regions.

Prizes and placings are personal to the verified Winner, are not transferable and cannot be sold back to Camera Champ, exchanged for cash or substituted at the Winner’s request.

If an advertised item becomes unavailable, Camera Champ may propose brand-new equivalent gear of similar or greater value that is suitable for the Winner’s region. Any substitute will be supplied only after the Winner has reasonably agreed to the replacement. No cash alternative is available.

15. Prize supply, delivery and warranties

Camera Champ will arrange the first prize through a trusted Prize Supplier servicing the Winner’s region where reasonably practicable. This is intended to provide genuine new equipment, suitable firmware, power requirements, English-language documentation, local warranty coverage and regional after-sales support.

Camera Champ pays reasonable standard shipping, tracking, customs duties, import charges and taxes directly associated with delivering the first prize to the confirmed delivery address. Camera Champ does not pay personal income tax or other tax imposed on a Winner because of the Winner’s receipt, ownership or use of a prize.

Delivery will ordinarily be arranged approximately 1 to 2 weeks after the Winner is verified and the prize is confirmed, but this estimate is not guaranteed and may vary because of location, availability, customs, supplier processing or carrier delays.

Delivery may require identification and the signature of the Winner or another authorised adult at the confirmed address. The Winner must provide a safe and accurate delivery address, cooperate with delivery arrangements and promptly collect or accept the shipment.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Camera Champ is not liable for prize goods that are lost, stolen, delayed, misdelivered or damaged because of an act or omission of a Prize Supplier, manufacturer, carrier, customs authority or other third party. Any delivery, transit-damage, defect or warranty issue may be investigated and resolved through the relevant supplier, manufacturer or carrier under its procedures.

The Winner must inspect the shipment promptly, retain the product and packaging, and provide photographs, identification, delivery records or other information reasonably required to support a claim. Camera Champ will provide reasonable assistance in communicating with the relevant Prize Supplier where appropriate.

Manufacturer and supplier warranties are subject to their own terms. Nothing in this clause excludes, restricts or modifies a consumer guarantee, statutory remedy or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

16. Copyright and licence to Camera Champ

The Entrant retains full copyright ownership of every photograph submitted.

By submitting a Photo Entry, the Entrant grants Camera Champ a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, publish, communicate, distribute and display the submitted photograph in connection with:

• administering, judging, auditing and recording the Competition;
• Camera Champ Collective and other Camera Champ editorial publications;
• winner, finalist and entrant galleries;
• Camera Champ websites, emails and social media channels; and
• reasonable advertising and promotional content relating to this Competition, its results or future Camera Champ photography competitions.

The licence permits reasonable technical and editorial treatment, including resizing, cropping, compression, file conversion, colour-profile conversion, captioning and layout placement, provided Camera Champ does not knowingly alter the photograph in a materially misleading or derogatory manner.

Camera Champ may sublicense the limited rights reasonably necessary to printers, publishers, hosting providers, email and social platforms, designers, production contractors and other service providers acting for Camera Champ for the permitted purposes.

No additional licence fee or royalty is payable. Camera Champ will credit the photographer wherever reasonably practicable using the name and, where supplied and appropriate, Instagram profile or website associated with the entry. An accidental omission or error in credit does not invalidate the licence, but Camera Champ will make a reasonable prospective correction after being notified.

17. Removal requests and archival use

An Entrant may request through the official Contact page that Camera Champ stop using a photograph in future digital publications and future promotional content. Camera Champ may verify the requester’s identity and rights before acting.

After a confirmed request, Camera Champ will take reasonable steps to remove the photograph from future digital publication and promotional use under its control. Removal may take a reasonable period because of production schedules, backups, caches, platform processing and previously scheduled content.

A removal request cannot require Camera Champ or another person to alter, recall or destroy printed copies already produced or distributed, remove lawful third-party reposts outside Camera Champ’s control, or erase historical records of the Competition.

Camera Champ may retain and use a submission as reasonably necessary for legal compliance, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, judging records, audit evidence, backups, internal archives and the preservation of already published editions and results.

18. Personal information and publicity

Camera Champ collects and uses personal information to process purchases, provide Library and Photography Tools access, issue private links, administer entries, communicate with Entrants, judge the Competition, verify Winners, supply prizes, publish results, prevent fraud and comply with law.

Information may be disclosed only as reasonably necessary to authorised service providers, including Shopify, payment processors, hosting and entry-platform providers, email providers, judging and publication personnel, printers, Prize Suppliers, carriers, professional advisers and regulators. Some recipients may be located outside the Entrant’s country.

Camera Champ does not sell Entrants’ personal information to advertisers. Marketing messages will be sent only where the person has subscribed or another lawful basis applies, and may be unsubscribed from using the method provided in the message.

Private entry pages are not publicly listed. Entrants must keep their unique link private. Camera Champ will use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no online system can be guaranteed completely secure.

By entering, an Entrant consents to Camera Champ publishing or using the name, city, state or region, country, optional Instagram profile and website, winning or finalist photograph, placing and reasonable biographical information in connection with Competition results, Camera Champ Collective and related publicity, without additional payment.

Personal information is handled in accordance with Camera Champ’s Privacy Policy and applicable privacy and data-protection laws. Entrants may use the Contact page to make a privacy request.

19. Payments, refunds, reversals and chargebacks

All Entry payments are one-time payments. Entries are not refundable merely because an Entrant changes their mind, does not submit all photographs, does not use the complimentary Library or Photography Tools access or another included benefit, is not selected as a Finalist or Winner, or is disqualified for breaching these Terms.

Nothing in these Terms limits any refund, repair, replacement or other remedy required under the Australian Consumer Law, New Zealand consumer law, United Kingdom consumer law, United States law or another applicable non-excludable law.

If an Entry payment is refunded, reversed, cancelled or successfully charged back, the associated photo allowance and Photo Entries may be cancelled or made ineligible, and the associated Library and Photo Tools access may be suspended or terminated, except to the extent prohibited by law.

While a payment dispute, suspected fraud or chargeback is being investigated, Camera Champ may suspend the related Entry, private entry page, Photo Entries, Library access, Photography Tools access, placing or prize. Camera Champ may require reasonable proof that the order was authorised and paid.

If Camera Champ cancels the entire Competition before judging begins and cannot fairly reschedule or proceed, Camera Champ will refund affected Entry payments, unless a different outcome is required or agreed under applicable law.

20. Technical problems and late or incomplete entries

Camera Champ is not responsible for an entry, draft, upload, communication or order that is late, lost, incomplete, corrupted, damaged, misdirected, inaccessible or not received because of user error, device failure, internet or network failure, email filtering, platform outage, software incompatibility, unauthorised access or another event beyond Camera Champ’s reasonable control.

Entrants should not wait until the final hours before the Submission Deadline. Camera Champ may provide reasonable support for a genuine technical issue but does not guarantee recovery of an incomplete draft, replacement of a corrupted file or extension of a deadline.

A confirmation message and submitted status on the private entry page are evidence that a Photo Entry was finally submitted. An email draft, upload progress bar, saved draft, payment receipt or support request does not by itself establish final submission.

Camera Champ may correct a system or administrative error in a manner that is fair to affected Entrants and consistent with these Terms, but is not required to accept a late entry unless applicable law requires it.

21. Verification, disqualification and enforcement

Camera Champ may verify an Entrant, order, Photo Entry, Finalist or Winner at any time. Verification may include reviewing payment records, image metadata, original files, communications, permissions and other information reasonably relevant to eligibility and integrity.

Camera Champ may reject, suspend or disqualify an Entrant or Photo Entry that is ineligible, invalid, misleading, fraudulent, automated, materially altered in breach of clause 8, unlawful or otherwise not compliant with these Terms. Where appropriate, Camera Champ may advance the next highest-rated eligible photograph.

An Entrant who deliberately interferes with the Competition, entry platform, judging, payment process or another Entrant may be disqualified from this and future Camera Champ competitions. Camera Champ may report suspected unlawful conduct and seek available remedies.

Camera Champ’s failure to enforce a provision immediately does not waive that provision or any other right. A disqualification decision must be exercised reasonably, in good faith and subject to mandatory law.

22. Changes, suspension and cancellation

Camera Champ will not materially change the Competition after it opens unless the change is reasonably necessary because of law, regulatory direction, fraud, security, technical failure, supplier failure, natural disaster, public emergency or another genuinely unexpected event beyond Camera Champ’s reasonable control.

Where reasonably practicable, Camera Champ will publish any material change and notify affected Entrants. A change will not be made merely to avoid awarding a prize or because the entries are stronger or weaker than expected.

If an event affects the security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Competition, Camera Champ may, subject to applicable law, invalidate affected entries, pause, extend, modify, suspend or cancel the Competition, or determine results fairly from eligible entries received before the disruption.

If the entire Competition is cancelled before judging and cannot fairly proceed, refunds will be handled under clause 19. If disruption occurs after judging begins, Camera Champ will adopt the outcome that most fairly preserves Entrants’ legitimate expectations, which may include completing judging from unaffected entries, rescheduling or issuing refunds.

23. Liability and non-excludable rights

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Camera Champ and its officers, personnel, judges, contractors and agents are not liable for indirect, consequential, special or economic loss, loss of profit, opportunity, reputation, data or goodwill arising from the Competition, an Entry, Library access, Photo Tools access, publication or a prize.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Camera Champ is not responsible for loss, injury or damage arising from an Entrant’s participation, capture of a photograph, breach of law, acceptance, delivery, installation, use, misuse or disposal of a prize, or an act or omission of a third party.

The Entrant indemnifies Camera Champ against a third-party claim, loss, liability or reasonable cost arising from the Entrant’s breach of their warranties concerning ownership, permissions, legality or third-party rights, except to the extent the loss was caused by Camera Champ’s own unlawful conduct, negligence or breach.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies a consumer guarantee, privacy right, statutory duty, remedy or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including rights under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) and the Australian Consumer Law and corresponding mandatory laws in an Entrant’s jurisdiction.

Any limitation in these Terms applies only to the maximum extent permitted in the Entrant’s jurisdiction. If a limitation is invalid, it is reduced or severed only to the extent necessary.

24. Complaints and disputes

A concern that these Terms were not followed, an administrative error affected an entry or result, or a consumer right was breached should first be submitted through the Camera Champ Contact page with sufficient information for review.

To the extent permitted by law, the parties must first attempt to resolve any dispute, controversy or claim arising from the Competition, these Terms or a prize through good-faith negotiation.

If a dispute is not resolved within a reasonable period, either party may propose mediation by an independent mediator agreed by the parties. If the parties cannot agree on a mediator, either may request appointment by the President of the Queensland Law Society or the President’s nominee. Mediation costs will be shared equally unless the mediator directs otherwise.

This clause does not prevent a person from contacting a regulator, exercising a chargeback or statutory remedy, seeking urgent relief, or commencing proceedings in a court or tribunal where that right cannot lawfully be restricted.

25. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and the Competition are governed by the laws in force in Queensland, Australia, including all applicable Commonwealth laws. Subject to any mandatory rights or remedies available under applicable law, the Promoter and each Entrant submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland, Australia, and any courts competent to hear appeals from those courts.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, remedy or protection that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified, including any mandatory consumer protections applying in the entrant’s country, state, territory or province of residence.

26. General provisions

If a provision of these Terms is illegal, invalid or unenforceable in a jurisdiction, it is read down to the minimum extent necessary or severed in that jurisdiction without affecting the remaining provisions.

These Terms, the Schedule, the relevant prize page and any mandatory checkout disclosures constitute the rules of the Competition. Marketing summaries do not override these Terms.

Camera Champ may assign or subcontract its administrative, publication, fulfilment or delivery obligations to a competent service provider, but remains responsible for obligations that cannot lawfully be delegated.

An Entrant may not transfer an Entry, Photo Entry, finalist status, placing or prize claim to another person.

Notices from Camera Champ may be delivered by email, telephone, the private entry page or publication on the Camera Champ website where appropriate. Entrants should retain a copy of these Terms and their order and submission confirmations.

27. Social media and third-party disclaimer

The Competition may be advertised on Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Google, YouTube or other platforms. To the extent permitted by law, each Entrant releases those platforms from claims arising in connection with the Competition. The Competition is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with those platforms unless expressly stated.

Camera, lens and supplier names and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Unless expressly stated on a prize page, no manufacturer, retailer or platform sponsors or administers the Competition.

Questions and complaints about the Competition must be directed to Camera Champ through the official Contact page, not to a social platform, manufacturer or Prize Supplier, except where a supplier is handling delivery, warranty or product support.
